Dangerous Winds, Snow Showers Wednesday In Troy: NWS
Troy will see sporadic snow showers and wind gusts up to 45 mph Wednesday.
TROY, MI — While western Michigan will see near blizzard like conditions as part of a major winter storm Wednesday, Troy will see dangerous winds and snow showers, according to the National Weather Service.
Wednesday morning will start cloudy with temperatures in the mid 30s, before plummeting to single digit wind chills by the afternoon. There will be steady 21-29 southwest winds, with gusts up to 45 mph. By Wednesday night, wind chills will be near zero degrees, the National Weather Service said.
There will also be sporadic snow showers Wednesday throughout the metro area. Although only a fresh dusting of snow is expected, some areas in the region could see an inch or two of fresh snow. However, the National Weather Service expects most of the snow to accumulate north of the metro area.

Thursday and Friday will remain cold with highs in the mid-20s and lows in the teens (single-digit wind chills). But both days look dry with a lot of sun Friday, the National Weather Service said.
Then the wet weather comes back for the weekend, with rain and snow showers expected Saturday night into Sunday morning. Highs will be in the upper 30s for both days, the National Weather Service said.

Parts of western Michigan, including Ludington, Baldwin, Hart, Fremont, Muskegon, Grand Haven, Jenison, Grand Rapids and Holland are expected to get four to nine inches of snow. A winter storm warning was issued for the area form 4:00 a.m. Wednesday to 7:00 a.m. Thursday, the National Weather Service said.
