Drunken Driving, Driving Under the Influence Incidents: March 14-15

The following information about recent incidents of drunken driving and driving under the influence is taken directly from the most recentΒ Troy Police DepartmentΒ media release.Β Note: In Michigan, the blood alcohol content legal limit is .08 percent.

Driving While Intoxicated

  • The driver responsible for a two-car, rear-end accident at East Big Beaver Road and Dequindre Road in the early morning hours of March 14 was arrested for operating while intoxicated. The 51-year-old, Madison Heights woman who was responsibleΒ had slurred speech, bloodshot eyes and smelled of intoxicants, according to police, and later breath tested at .14 percent. No one was injured.
  • A 29-year-old woman from Mount Morris was arrested for operating while intoxicated in the early morning hours of March 15 at Interstate-75 and Crooks Road. Police said that she had not maintained her car's lane of travel and repeatedly crossed over the right lane marker. She hadΒ bloodshot eyes, poor balance and smelled of intoxicants, according to police, and later breath tested at .08 percent.
