Ellen Hodorek Among Troy City Council Candidates
Hodorek is one of nine candidates who will pursue three spots on the city council.

The Friends of Ellen Hodorek Committee formally announces her candidacy for Troy City Council in the upcoming November election. The Friends look forward to seeing herΒ bring aΒ fresh, non-partisan perspectiveΒ to the council table.
"A great team of people encouraged me to run, and I was truly humbled when I filed the petitions," Hodorek said. "Now I look forward to sharing with Troy voters what I will stand for if elected: a community of people working together to safeguard Troy, including its low millage rate and outstanding safest city rating."

With a wave of positive energy behind Hodorek's candidacy, it took less than 36 hours for volunteers to obtain over 150 petition signatures; only 60 are required to file for candidacy.
The position is non-partisan, and Hodorek brings a passion for the city. As a 24-year resident, she has accumulated a wealth of experience through private and public work, including countless hours in various volunteer roles.

"Voters can expect me to bring to the council table an independent perspective in a manner that continues the creative, fiscally responsible, and pragmatic governance that has restored calm and a positive reputation to Troy," Hodorek said. "Troy is a benchmark city on so many levels, and I will work to keep it that way."
