The Philippine American Community Center of Michigan (PACCM) is now in thick of preparations for its yearly, always well attended Valentine’s Ball, which will be held on Feb. 11 at the Troy Marriott Hotel in Troy.
PACCM Chairperson Ernestina Mac said Valentine’s Ball 2012 is a major fundraising project, the proceeds from which will be used to fund PACCM’s programs.
Mac expects the Valentine’s Ball to be a romantic evening, and couples marking milestone wedding anniversaries will receive special recognition.

The men will gift their sweethearts with red roses, and afterwards the couples will dance to the tune of “Let Me Call You Sweetheart.” The event will also feature cultural dances and music and special performances, and valuable door prizes will be raffled off.
The affair will be capped by ballroom dancing which will last until past midnight. It will be a colorful affair as the dress code is “red formal.”
