White Chapel Cemetery Memorial Day Celebration Concert

Memorial Day weekend is an important time to reflect and remember the military, both past and present, who have served our country and fought to preserve our freedom.  In particular, it is a day to remember our fallen military heroes who paid the ultimate sacrifice. 

in Troy is hosting two free events for families in recognition of Memorial Day weekend beginning with a Memorial Day Celebration Concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 27, 2012.  White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery is located at 621 W. Long Lake Rd. (just West of I-75) in Troy. 

The concert-in-the-park features a program of patriotic songs performed by The Birmingham Concert Band with conductor Grant Hoemke.  A leader among community bands in Michigan, this band provides a creative outlet for a stunning array of some of the area’s most accomplished musicians.
