Flagstar Supports The Salvation Army in Grand Reopening of Troy Walmart Branch

Flagstar Bank teamed up with The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit for its annual Red Kettle Campaign to provide food, clothing, shelter, and other services to those who would otherwise be forgotten.

December 7 marked the grand reopening of Flagstar’s branch in the newly remodeled Walmart store at 2001 W. Maple Rd.  As part of the celebration, Flagstar matched the Red Kettle contributions received by the store throughout the day.

Flagstar also provided volunteers for the Walmart Fill-the-Truck event scheduled for the store that same day. Shoppers were invited to fill the truck with gifts for local children in need served by The Salvation Army at Christmas.

“We’re excited about the look and feel of our new branch and think customers will love the fact that we’re now a full-service office,” said Michael Tierney, Executive Vice President, Flagstar Bank.

“With the holidays coming, it’s the perfect opportunity to support The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit and all the good it does in our communities all year long, but especially during the holiday season.”

Mayor Dane Slater and Councilman Jim Campbell joined with Flagstar Bank and Salvation Army staff to celebrate Flagstar’s branch reopening. “The newly remodeled and full-service Flagstar Bank Branch inside of the new Walmart Supercenter is a great partnership which will continue to service Troy citizens as well as visitors to our wonderful community. Both Flagstar Bank and Walmart are great community supporters giving back to many worthwhile non-profit organizations such as the Salvation Army,”  Mayor Dane Slater said.

Hours at the new location are weekdays 10 am - 7 pm and Saturdays 10 am - 4 pm.  Flagstar also has branches in Troy at 2050 W. Big Beaver, 5151 Corporate Drive, and 5017 Rochester Road.
