Halo Burger Coming to Troy?

Halo Burger is a 'tradition since 1923' in Genesee County.

Local Halo Burger fans might be happy to know that the owner of the burger chain plans to open a location in Troy before the end of the year.Β 

Troy is just one of seven planned locations for 2013, includingΒ Brighton, Bingham Farms, Novi, Clarkston, Farmington Hills and East Lansing,Β MLive reported.

The closest Halo Burger location to Troy is currently in Fenton, and aside from one Birch Run location, all the restaurants are located in Genesee County.Β

"I don’t know how many more stores you could get in Genesee County," Polly Dortch-Conlan, director of marketing for Dortch Enterprises, told MLive. "We have quite a few Subway locations in Oakland County and there were some locations there that we felt would be a great fit for the Halo Burger brand."

The company plans to open the Halo Burger locations adjacent with Subway stores.

City of Troy Director of Economic and Community DevelopmentΒ Mark Miller said that he is presently unaware of a specific location in Troy where Halo Burger plans to open.
