Credit, check, identity theft, other fraud
2000 block of Wexford, July 5, 9 a.m.: Resident stated he was contacted by his bank that a purchase was attempted in Boston, MA. Resident stated no one has permission to use his credit card.Â
1000 block of Kirts, July 5, 9 a.m.: Resident advised she was contacted by her bank advising purchases were attempted in Fall River, MA. Resident advised she did not make or give permission for the purchases.Â
Driving under influence of alcohol/drugs
John R and E. Big Beaver Rd., July 7, 9:29 p.m.: Troy Officers observed a vehicle driving without headlights and weaving in its lane. The driver a Madison Heights resident, smelled strongly of intoxicants. The driver failed field sobriety tests. Officers discovered and open bottle of alcohol under the driver’s seat. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated and was issued a citation for open intoxicants in motor vehicle. Breath test results were .10 percent.

1000 block of Long Lake Rd, July 8, 3:31 a.m.: Troy Officers were dispatched to an injury accident where a vehicle struck a light pole. The driver, a 32-year-old Berkley resident, tried to leave the scene but a witness contacted police and confirmed that he was the driver of the vehicle. The driver was observed with a strong odor of intoxicants and difficulty keeping his balance. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated. The driver submitted to a blood test with results pending.
Home invasions
1000 block of Van Courtland, July 4-7, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Complainant advised her home had been broken into while on vacation through the sunroom door into the main house. Complainant stated her laptop was removed from her closet and her clothes were thrown about the room. The laptop is valued at $500.Â

Larcenies
3000 block of Boulder Dr, July 1-4, 8 a.m. to 12 noon: Resident reports his grill which was left outside next to home has been stolen. The value of the grill is $100.
2000 block of Siena, July 4-5, 5 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.: Complainant reports a stove is missing from a new construction home. Complainant believes entry to the home was made through the garage. The value of the stove is $600.Â
2000 block of Alfred, July 4-5, 1 p.m. to 1 p.m.: Complainant advised items were missing from a new home currently being built. In the garage complainant stated were two toilets and wooden flooring that now is missing. Complainant believes the garage was left unsecured. The total value of missing property is $1,194.Â
Larcenies from autos
300 block of Coachman, July 5-6, 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.: Resident reports his vehicle was entered and his car stereo was stolen. The car showed no signs of damage.Â
700 block of Coachman, July 5-6, 8 p.m. to 11:45 a.m.: Resident reports her vehicle was entered possibly by a partially rolled down window and her car stereo and iPod were stolen from the vehicle. Â
3000 block of Wendover, July 6-7, 6 p.m. to 12 midnight: Resident reports her wallet was stolen out of her unlocked vehicle while parked in the driveway. Resident stated her wallet contained $50 cash, credit cards and gift cards. The credit card stolen from resident’s purse was used at a gas station in Warren.Â
Malicious destruction of property
Target, 1301 Coolidge Hwy., July 5, 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Complainant stated her vehicle was damaged while she was shopping. Officer observed two 3-inch deep scratches on the passenger doors of the vehicle.Â
Retail fraud
Nordstrom, 2850 W. Big Beaver Rd., July 6, 2:21 p.m.: Nordstrom loss prevention officers advised an 18-year-old Milford resident and a 17-year-old Walled Lake resident were observed taking clothes into the fitting room and exiting leaving the store. Loss prevention checked the fitting room and found no merchandise. The suspects were stopped and items were recovered from their purses. The total value of items stolen is $279.89.
Kohl’s, 500 John R, July 6, 2:25 p.m.: Kohl’s loss prevention officers advised a 48-year-old Warren resident was committing a retail fraud in the store. The suspect was observed selecting merchandise, a belt, shirt and jewelry. The suspect then concealed the items in his pants and on his body. The suspect then exited the store. The suspect was stopped and the merchandise was recovered total value $146.Â
