Howrylak Town Hall Will Focus on Human Trafficking Issue
Learn how to recognize and prevent this heinous crime on Dec. 16 in Troy.

State Rep. Martin Howrylak will host a special town hall providing residents with information to help them recognize and prevent human trafficking in the state of Michigan. The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 16 at the Troy Public Library (510 W. Big Beaver Rd.). The event is free to any and all residents interested in attending.
“Human trafficking is a heinous crime that is more prevalent in the state of Michigan than many people realize,” said Howrylak, R-Troy. “Legislation has recently been introduced in the House to help law enforcement work with citizens to end this crime while protecting the victims. Ensuring that residents are aware of the signs of human trafficking is paramount to preventing them.”
The event will feature a presentation given by Kathy Maitland from the Michigan Abolitionist Project focusing on recognizing and preventing this crime in our community.
