'Iron Man' Arrested in Troy for Breaking and Entering at Cell Phone Store

A man in an 'Iron Man' mask was stopped and arrested for allegedly breaking and entering a cell phone store in Troy.

Chris Peter Awadish, 26, from Shelby Township, was arraigned at 52-4 District Court on a single charge of breaking and entering with intent on Monday. According to police, Awadish and an unidentified suspect broke into T-Mobile (785 E. Big Beaver Rd.) on Sunday, about 11 p.m.

Following an alarm at the cell phone store, the first arriving officer had been aware of previous breaking and entering crimes at other cell phone stores in neighboring jurisdictions, according to a press release issued Wednesday.

If convicted, Awadish faces a maximum of 10 years prison. His bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety. He is scheduled to return to court on Nov. 13.
