Man Accused In Multiple Convenience Store Break-Ins: Sheriff
A 28-year-old Brandon Township has been accused of multiple Oakland County convenience store break-ins, police said Wednesday.

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — A 28-year-old Brandon Township has been accused of multiple Oakland County convenience store break-ins, police said Wednesday.
Nathan James Calhoun is charged with two counts of breaking and entering a building with intent, which are 10-year felonies, according to police. Calhoun was arraigned on Tuesday and bail was set at $10,000 and would require a tether prior to release, police said.
According to police, Calhoun is accused of break-ins that took place early Sunday morning in Orion, Brandon and Independence townships.

The first of the break-ins was at the Indianwood Junction Party Stop in Orion Township. Police responded to a burglary alarm at the store shortly after midnight Sunday and discovered the front door glass had been broken and someone had entered the store, police said. When police entered, no one was inside.
Shortly after, deputies responded to another burglary alarm at the Mobile Gas Station on South Ortonville Road in Brandon Township and found the business had been broken into, but no suspects were found at the scene, police said.

Around 2 a.m., deputies watching the Sunoco Gas Station on Ortonville Road in Independence Township saw a red Camaro leaving the area and pulled it over, police said. Deputies found Calhoun behind the wheel and discovered items from the break-ins, including a bandana, latex gloves, burglary tools and items taken from the businesses, police said. Police arrested Calhoun at the scene, they said.
The recovered stolen property included cigarettes, alcohol, a DTE meter, a BB gun and other miscellaneous items, according to detectives. Police said detectives are investigating five other theft and break-ins in the area as well.
Police said Calhoun's next court appearance date is June 1, in front of the Judge Joseph G. Fabrizio
