Man Arrested In Troy Area Home Invasions: Police

TROY, MI — A man has been arrested in connection with multiple home invasions in Troy and its neighboring areas, according to police.

Brian Maurice Kellum, 41, was charged with two counts of second-degree home invasion and driving without a license. He was placed in jail with a bond set at $100,000 (no 10 percent).

If convicted on the home invasion charge, he faces up to 15 years in prison.

Officers were called to the 2100 block of E Big Beaver Rd. for a report of a home invasion at noon last Friday, according to police.

Kellum was then arrested in connection with the home invasion without incident during a traffic stop roughly two hours later that same day, according to police.

Investigators also suspect that Kellum is involved in additional Home Invasions in Troy and the surrounding area, according to police.

No other details were released by police.
