Oakland County Hospital Shooter Was Angry Over Funeral Snub By Ex-Friend: Police
Police said the victim described the shooter as "Jekyll and Hyde," someone who could be easy-going and then overreact.

Police said the victim, who works at the hospital, was leaving his shift when Paljusevic fired seven shots at him in the parking garage at the hospital, striking him in the arm and shoulder.
After the shooting, Paljusevic left the parking garage while the hospital went into lockdown, according to police.
Officers found multiple bullet holes in the victim's black Ford Escape and a trail of blood leading toward the hospital, according to police.
Officers then learned the shooter's identity and arrested Paljusevic later that morning at a home in Macomb Township, according to police.
Paljusevic, who also worked at the hospital, knew the victim and would often hang out together after their shifts at the hospital, according to police.
Police said the two had a falling out in January when the victim's father passed away and Paljusevic was not invited to the private family-only viewing, according to a WWJ News report.
Moreover, the victim described Paljusevic as "Jekyll and Hyde," someone who could be easy-going and then overreact, according to a Fox 2 Detroit report.
After the funeral, police said Paljusevic called the victim using Facetime and urinated on funeral brochures while saying, "If I do see you outside in public, don’t be surprised if something happens," WDIV reported.
Paljusevic's lawyer said Paljusevic is a U.S. citizen who lives with his sister and finished high school. His lawyer said his only run-in with police was an incident involving public intoxication a few years ago.
"We can be grateful the victim appears to be recovering from his injury, but no one should have to fear violence in the workplace," Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald said. "This incident sent the hospital into a lockdown, put local schools on alert, and terrified an entire community. Multiple law enforcement agencies mobilized to quickly and safely apprehend the defendant. Even in a situation where, thankfully, there were no fatalities, the real and emotional cost of gun violence is immeasurable and unacceptable."
