No Injuries Reported in Troy Home Fire

Thanks to quick actions by a homeowner and the Troy Fire Department, a structure fire last week was confined to one room and resulted in no injuries.

Fire Stations 2 and 1, along with Rescue 4 and Air Tender 3 were dispatched to the home at 4118 Livernois, located north of Wattles Road, at about 8:20 p.m. Aug. 15. According to fire officials, the homeowner had returned to find smoke coming from the windows and chimney.

The small, one-story, single family home had a small fire in a bedroom which was confined and extinguished without injuries to firefighters or the homeowner. The fire is under investigation by TFD investigators to determine a cause.
