Oakland County Detectives Seek Vandalism Suspect

St. Joseph Mercy Oakland security saw a man approach a red 2019 Tesla Model 3 and begin to vandalize it, deputies said.

PONTIAC, MI — The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is seeking information relating to the report of a vandalized vehicle in the parking lot of a local hospital.

According to the sheriff's office, a deputy responded to St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital around 6:57 p.m. Tuesday following the report of a man damaging a vehicle.

Security from St. Joseph Mercy Oakland saw a man approach a red 2019 Tesla Model 3 and begin to vandalize the vehicle, deputies said. Officials said the car belonged to a 58-year-old Troy woman.

The suspect smashed the windshield and scratched letters on the hood of the Tesla, deputies said. The suspect returned to his vehicle and fled the area before security officers could approach him, deputies said.

The incident remains under investigation by Oakland County Sheriff's Office detectives.
