Oakland County Man Punches Dog Walker, Rips His Shirt: Police

The man told officers that he had just quit his job and got into an argument, so he chose to attack the first person he saw, police said.

TROY, MI β€” A 27-year-old man is in trouble after he punched a man who was walking his dog in Troy last Friday, according to police.

The incident happened on Crooks Road between Big Beaver and Wattles roads at 11 a.m. last Friday, according to police.

Police said the 27-year-old Troy man approached a stranger who was walking his dog, yelled at him, punched him in the head and then ripped his shirt.

Officers arrested the 27-year-old man in the area of Crooks and Wattles roads, according to police.

The 27-year-old man was given a citation for assault and battery and placed in the Troy Jail, according to police.

Officials also recommended that he undergo a mental health evaluation.
