OverDrive Digital Bookmobile to Visit Troy Library
The bright blue bookmobile will stop by the library June 19 to teach residents about eBooks.
The OverDrive Digital Bookmobile β the 21st century version of the traditional library bookmobile β is scheduled to visit the on June 19.
But this Digital Bookmobile will not be delivering physical books. Instead, this 74 foot-long, 18-wheel tractor-trailer painted bright blue houses personal computers, eReaders, mp3 players and other portable electronic devices.
Visitors to the Digital Bookmobile can tour colorful informative exhibits, experience eBooks and audiobooks on interactive computer stations, browse the Troy Libraryβs live website, and learn how to download eBooks and audiobooks from the Library right to their eReaders and other portable devices.

And every visitor to the Digital Bookmobile will be entered into a contest to win either an Amazon Kindle or a nook eReader, provided by the Friends of the Troy Public Library.
The OverDrive Digital Bookmobile will in the north parking lot of the Troy Public Library on Tuesday, June 19, from noon-6 p.m. Drop by and visit and learn all about the fast-growing world of eBooks.
