Photo of the Day: La Botana Mexican Food Celebrates Anniversary
The restaurant, owned by two Troy residents, opened in Troy two years ago this week.

Today's Photo of the Day was submitted by Patrice Rowbal. Along with her photo submission, Rowbal wrote the following:
It's hard to believe that a mere two years ago, was just starting out with two employees: the owners and Susan (far left in the photo). On Tuesday, the couple and proud Troy residents celebrate two years in business serving the best authentic Mexican food in town, and employing a staff of five.
"We started out doing what we knew, with our own authentic recipes from our native Mexico. The food is minimally processed and trully unique and delicious. Customers are really satisfied and pleasantly surprised when they try La Botana. We've grown and expanded our offerings, with help from our family and our customers," said Susan.

"One of my favorite new menu items is our Asada Fries--basically french fries, topped with carne (steak), shredded cheese, nacho cheese, sour cream and homemade guacamole. The homemade salsas are a huge hit, customers buy them by the pound to enjoy them at home in between visits to the restaurant".
Hard work and dedication have truly paid off for the Troy couple, who are originally from Guanajuato, Mexico. "But we couldn't do it alone," continues Susan. "We have given back to the community that we live and work in and have made many friends who started out as customers. Thanks to our customers, we are still here to serve them with great gratitude and joy."
