Police: Berkley Man Hit in Troy Kroger Parking Lot in 'Fair' Condition

The man was in critical condition over the weekend after being hit and pinned beneath a Cadillac CTS on Saturday afternoon.

Berkley resident Robert Baldwin, 69, is in fair condition at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak on Wednesday morning after he was Saturday afternoon at on Coolidge Highway in Troy.

"He is in stable condition," spokesman Lt. Robert Redmond said. "(There are) no surgeries are planned, and the recovery will be a long process."

Baldwin sustained multiple fractures and other injuries in the incident and was listed in critical condition over the weekend. The incident occurred when a 78-year-old Franklin, MI, woman was pulling into a parking spot and struck Baldwin, pinning him under aΒ Cadillac CTS.

Baldwin had to be extricated by , who inflated air bags to lift the vehicle and extricate Baldwin. Alliance Mobile Health transported Baldwin to Beaumont.

The driver has not been charged with a crime.
