Man allegedly hits tree, leaves car behind
A 22-year-old Troy man is facing charges after he allegedly hit two trees and a road sign with his vehicle before fleeing the scene and leaving the vehicle behind, according to a Troy Police media release.
The incident occurred just after 2:30 a.m. Saturday near Rambling and Rambling court. Officers arrived at the scene and found the vehicle with its airbag deployed and blood on the driver's side airbag. When Troy Police contacted the man, he first said the vehicle had been stolen, and then refused to say where he was, according to the media release.

The man is facing charges of reckless driving and failing to report an accident.
Man found with open alcohol in car, charged with drunken driving
A Troy Police officer responding to a citizen's report of a drunken driver at 14 Mile Road and Stephenson Highway just after 2 a.m. Saturday found the car at a gas nearby station. According to a media release, the officer found an empty liquor bottle and two half-full small vodka bottles in the vehicle.

The 53-year-old Grand Blanc man had glass eyes, smelled of intoxicants and was slurring his speech. After losing his balance and stumbling around, he was arrested for operating while intoxicated third or subsequent offense, open intoxicants in a motor vehicle and driving while license revoked.
Preliminary breath test results were 0.25 percent β more than three times the legal limit. According to police, the man has three prior drunken driving convictions and an outstanding warrant out of Saginaw, and his license is revoked.
Catalytic converters stolen from vehicles
Several residents reported their catalytic converters missing Friday morning. The affected vehicles were parked on the 150 block of Larchwood, the 550 block of Stephenson and at 1414 East Maple Road.
Customer threatens pregnant Kroger employee
Store employee report that a woman became belligerent at the Customer Service counter at on South Boulevard. According to a Troy Police media release, the woman became upset when she thought someone else had been served when it was her turn.
The woman told the clerk that, if she wasn't pregnant, she would "hop the counter and beat the (expletive) out of her," according to the media release. The woman also threatened to wait outside the store and shoot the employee, according to police. The woman left the store before store employees notified police.
Suspicious man found stealing from vehicles
Troy officers responded to the 2000 block of Valleyview just after 1 a.m. Sunday morning after receiving reports of a suspicious man on a bicycle who was looking into cars and pulling on door handles.
Officers discovered two vehicles that had been ransacked and found a bicycle nearby in a driveway. Shortly after finding the bicycle, officers found a man walking down an adjacent street.
According to Troy Police, the man said he was walking from Oak Park to Pontiac. The Troy Police Department's K-9 unit successfully traced a path from the vehicles to the are where the man was found, then straight to the patrol vehicle in which the man was sitting.
The owners of the two vehicles said only cash and change was missing from their vehicles. Police recovered the stolen money from the man, according to the report, and the 24-year-old Oak Park man was arrested for larceny.
Home, cars get "egged"
Seven cars on the 2000 block of Tuscany and a home on the 2000 block of Avalon were "egged" overnight. The cars were egged overnight Friday, and the home was egged early Sunday morning.
