Woman allegedly shoplifts with 2-year-old in tow
A 37-year-old West Bloomfield woman entered on Coolidge on Monday evening accompanied by her 2-year-old son. Loss prevention officers watched the woman conceal five shirts and two pairs of sandals in her purse, according to a Troy Police report.
The woman, who has an extensive criminal history according to police, was arrested on a charge of retail fraud in the second degree. Her son was turned over to a family member.

Man claims to be utility worker, enters elderly woman's home
An elderly resident on the 4000 block of Belzair reported Tuesday afternoon that a man claiming to be a "water worker" came to her door and said he needed to go into her basement to check the water, according to a Troy Police report.
The man went downstairs and turned on the water in a utility tub. After some time had passed, the man came upstairs, and the resident followed him. He then ran up the stairs and disappeared from the home.

It appears nothing is missing. The man is described as 25 years old, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall with medium build.Β
Elderly man found unharmed in Troy neighborhood
Following a neighbor's report, Troy Police officers found a 68-year-old Detroit man wandering through the subdivision near Bradbury and Glencastle roads. According to a police report, the man had been wandering the neighborhood for two hours, though nobody had reported him missing.
The man appeared capable of taking care of himself. Per the man's request, Troy officers transported him to 12 Mile and Stephenson.
Vandals pour and spray paint on vehicle
A resident on the 4000 block of Hyde Par reported Monday evening that someone had spray painted the tires of his vehicle and poured paint on the driver's side of the car.
