Somerset Collection Renovates, Invites Shoppers to Celebrate Spring Fashion
Shoppers are invited to "Try This On," pose for photos, receive free beauty makeovers and celebrate several recent renovations and store openings at the shopping center.
Each Saturday in March (beginning March 10) from 1-4 p.m. at Somerset North, first floor Nordstrom corridor, join WDIV style editor Jon Jordan for “Try This On" – an interactive fashion seminar where guests can view and try on spring trends.
There will be a “step and repeat” backdrop (think red carpet events) for photo opportunities. Here you can take your own photo, post it on Facebook or Twitter and hope someone buys you the new spring bag you’re sporting in the picture.
The event also features complimentary beauty makeovers from Bare Escentuals (March 10), (March 17), (March 24), (March 31). No reservations necessary.

There are also handmade paper dresses on display that are constructed from newsprint, shopping bags, magazines and posters that represent iconic styles from the 1950s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. The dresses were designed by Ferndale-based of Paper Dolls.
The event coincides with the renovation and expansion of several retailers. Ergo, Change is Beautiful.
