• Funders award Detroit-area arts, cultural organizations $11.2 million (philanthropynewsdigest.org) — A Troy-based philanthropy, the Kresge Foundation, is channeling $11.2 million in multiyear grants to more than 100 arts and cultural organizations across metro Detroit. The funding, coordinated with other major foundations and CultureSource, will bolster institutions like the Motown Museum and Mosaic Youth Theatre, supporting jobs, youth development, and cultural spaces for Detroit-area residents.
