Officers spoke with an 84-year-old neighbor about the incident. Reports said she admitted cutting down a portion of the fence, but she believed it was on her property. The woman sited a 1959 survey to back her claim.

It’s not the first time officers were involved in the dispute. Police previously told the 84-year-woman to stay off of her neighbor’s property until a more recent land survey could be completed.

Officers issued her a Misdemeanor Citation for Malicious Destruction of Property and released her at the scene.
