Spongebob Shows Off 'Gangnam Style' Moves at Martell Fun Run

Patch caught unsuspecting Martell Elementary parent Jon Snow, dressed as Spongebob, doing the popular "Gangnam Style" dance Friday afternoon.

At Martell Elementary School, many parents volunteer every year to help with the school's Fun Run – Martell's biggest fundraiser – doing anything from planning and decorating to preparing snacks and cheering on kids as they run.

And then there's 49-year-old engineer Jon Snow, who has gone one step further by offering to wear a rented Spongebob Squarepants suit for the past three Fun Run fundraisers in a row.

On Friday, during the school's seventh annual Fun Run, Troy Patch caught an unsuspecting Snow on video doing the unique popular dance from South Korean rapper Psy's "Gangnam Style" music video. Currently, "Gangnam Style" has 232 million views and more than 2.2 million "likes" on YouTube – more than any other YouTube video, ever.

Snow's wife, Marianne Snow, said he learned the dance during lunch Friday by watching Psy's music video on his phone.

Marianne added that her husband enjoyed wearing the suit and that their son, Harry, a third grader at Martell who turned eight on the day of the fun run, enjoyed having his dad dressed up as Spongebob on his birthday.
