Traffic Alert: I-75 North At 696 Reopens Following Fuel Spill

Updated. TROY, MI — All lanes at I-75 North at 696 have reopened, according to a Metro Detroit Department of Transportation Tweet.

All lanes were closed at I-75 North and 696 and traffic was diverted off the I-75 and onto 696 for several hours this morning after two trucks reportedly crashed and sparked a fuel spill, according to WXYZ. A hazmat crew was called in to clean up the area.

UPDATE: I- 75 north CLOSED at 696, all traffic detoured onto 696. Ramps from 696 to 75 NB also closed for hazmat clean up. Unknown open ETA.
