This year's annual Troy Fitness Run was held on a blustery Saturday this year, but the grey skies couldn’t dampen the excitement of the 250 fifth-grade students who participated. High School cross country runners from Troy High were on hand for the assist, and students wore magnetized identification bibs so that the detector strip at the end of the race captured their times as they crossed the finish line. The fastest time for boys was 11:35.8, the fastest time for girls 13:08.1, and Wass Elementary won the Elite 8 and the Participation Award for most runners---but everyone was a winner as they improved on their own personal best times.
