Troy Forecast: Bitter Cold, Dangerous Wind Chills

Wednesday will be colder with temperatures only reaching the mid-teens with consistent wind chills at minus 6 degrees throughout the day.

TROY, MI — Troy's coldest stretch of the season so far is ahead with winds pushing temperatures to as low as minus 10 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny with highs reaching the 20s, but northwest winds around 10 mph will make it feel more like the mid-teens. Tuesday night also brings a slight chance for snow showers in the metro Detroit area with little to no accumulation, according to the National Weather Service.

Wind chills overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning will be as low as minus 4 degrees, the National Weather Service warned.

Wednesday will be colder with temperatures only reaching the mid-teens with consistent wind chills at minus 6 degrees throughout the day. Wednesday night will be even colder with temperatures dropping to 7 degrees with wind chills as low as minus 10, the National Weather Service warned.

Thursday will bring back snow chances with a possible accumulation of 1-2 inches of fresh snow. However, Thursday will warm back up into the 20s with wind gusts reaching up to 23 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
