Marathon Concert Raises More than $12K for Troy High Bands
Students and ensembles took turns playing for 24 straight hours over the weekend.

Troy High band students kicked off the school's event Friday at 3 p.m. with student artists that made artwork inspired by music mixed by Troy Band Alumni James Kang.
From student pledges and donations, the students went into the marathon having already raised more than $6,500. Students, alumni and Troy music teachers played all through the night. Performances included everything from simple instrument solos to interpretive dancing and student DJs.

The Symphonic Band concluded the marathon on Saturday, playing from 2-3 p.m., where band director Brian Nutting revealed to students and supporters present that the bands raised $12,625, exceeding their goal of $12,000.
It was a very successful weekend, and the program thanks everybody who volunteered, donated, and supported the bands!
