Troy Police Make Arrest in Concealed Weapons Violation Incident
The following information about police incidents is taken directly from the most recent Troy Police Department media releases.

Auto/vehicle thefts
1000 block of Kirts Boulevard, Oct. 30-31, 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.: Resident reported he parked his 2007 Acura in the apartment lot. When he returned he discovered his vehicle missing. Resident was still in possession of the keys.
Credit, check, identity theft, other fraud
Macy’s, 500 W. 14 Mile Rd, Oct. 28, 1-2 p.m.: Complainant reported her business credit card was charged $1,000 in gift cards to the Macy’s store in Troy. Complaint advised no one had permission to use her charge.
Drugs/narcotics
East Maple Road and Stephenson Highway, Oct. 30, 10:52 p.m.: Officers observed a vehicle occupied parked in the Marriot lot. The driver was observed to have a glass of Vodka and advised officers he had marijuana in the vehicle. The passenger was also found to have a glass of vodka in the vehicle. The driver a 26 year old from Troy was issued a citation for open intoxicants and possession of marijuana. The passenger was cited for open intoxicants.

Driving under influence of alcohol/drugs
John R Road and Square Lake Road, Oct. 30, 9:04 p.m.: Officers stopped a vehicle for an improper lane change. As Officers approached the vehicle they observed the driver toss a handgun to the floorboard on the passenger side. Officers detected an odor of intoxicants coming from the driver’s breath. The driver, a 43-year-old from Romeo failed field sobrieties and was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, possession of a firearm while under the influence and operating while intoxicated. Breath test results were .08 percent.
Rochester Road and East Big Beaver Road, Oct. 31, 2:28 a.m.: Officers stopped a vehicle for an improper turn. The driver was observed with a strong aroma of alcohol coming from her person. The driver admitted to drinking and failed field sobrieties. The driver a 29-year-old from Sterling Heights was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Breath test results were .12 percent.

Dequindre and East Long Lake Road, Oct. 31, 9:36 p.m.: Officers responded to a possible drunk driver call. Witness stated the vehicle was swerving all over the road almost crashing into other cars. Officers located the vehicle and observed the vehicle swerving in and out of lanes. The driver smelled strongly of intoxicants and admitted to drinking. Officers observed open cans of beer in the vehicle. The driver, a 50-year-old from Auburn Hills, failed field sobrieties and was arrested for operating while intoxicated (third offense) and transporting open intoxicants. Breath test results were .20 percent.
Rochester Road and East Big Beaver Road, Nov. 1, 3:40 a.m.: Troy Officers stopped a vehicle for a red light violation. Officers detected an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. The driver had a graduated driver’s license and was in violation of the license. The driver admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle. Officers located marijuana and a “grinder” for marijuana in the glovebox. The driver, a 16-year-old from Troy, failed field sobrieties and was arrested for possession of narcotic paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, operating in the presence of drugs and violation of restricted ops. A blood draw was conducted with results pending.
Larcenies from autos
880 E. Big Beaver Rd., Oct. 30, 1:40 a.m.: Complainant reported she parked her vehicle in the parking lot. When she returned the driver side window was smashed and a radar detector was stolen.
Malicious destruction of property
6000 block of Denton, Oct. 31, 7–7:30 a.m.: complainant reported her glass table top on her patio had been smashed with a rock. The glass was valued at $300.
