Troy Police Officer Injured in Crash on I-75
The officer and driver who hit his patrol vehicle were taken to the hospital for treatment.

A officer is "extremely sore, but expected to make a full recovery" after the patrol car he was driving was hit Saturday afternoon on Interstate 75 near Long Lake Road.
The officer had pulled alongside a tow truck that was attempting to pull a vehicle out of the ditch. As he was stopping, another driver struck the fully marked patrol vehicle from behind, department spokesman Officer Andy Breidenich said.
The driver of the vehicle, a 51-year-old Troy woman, sustained minor injuries. She told police she was watching the tow truck and didn't see the police vehicle slowing to a stop.
