Troy Police Respond to 5 Illegal Fireworks Displays

The following information about police incidents is taken directly from the most recent Troy Police Department media releases.

Miscellaneous

Troy Officers wrote five ordinance violations for illegal discharging of fireworks.

Breaking and entries

Dentistry Office, 48 W. Square Lake Rd., June 27 to July 1, 6 p.m. to 12 noon: Complainant reports the front door to office has pry marks on it from an attempt break-in. Nothing was missing from the office and the door was damaged.  

Larcenies 

Target Distribution LCC, 1725 E. Fourteen Mile Rd., July 1, 8:30 a.m.: Manager reported that upon arrival at work the safe, which contained cash and receipts, was missing. The amount of cash reported missing $4,109.33.

1000 block of Bridge Park, June 26, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Resident stated three wooden play scape structures were stolen from his backyard, valued at $250.  

Larcenies from autos

2000 block of Lovington, June 30 to July 1, 8 p.m. to 11 a.m.: Resident reports his vehicle attacked and his front passenger window was smashed. The entertainment system was stolen as well as a GPS, Laptop, Kindle Fire and Xbox game system.

6000 block of Montclair, June 29 to July 1, 6 p.m. to 8 a.m.: Complainant reports his vehicle was parked in the driveway over night and both doors were stolen off of his 1991 Jeep Renegade. 

Malicious destruction of property

1000 block of Kimberly, June 30, 11 p.m.: Resident stated she heard a loud bang and thought it was fireworks, she later discovered her mailbox was damaged by fireworks. 

2000 block of Dorchester, June 29 to July 2, 12 midnight to 10:30 a.m.: Complainant reported that his vehicle was damaged while parked in lot. Two holes were broken into the rear windshield of the vehicle. 

Martell Elementary, 5666 Livernois: Resident came to the police station advising he has notice Graffiti on the school playground, on a Detroit Edison box and a USPS mailbox. 

Peace officer/civil 

Incoe Corp, 1740 E. Maple, July 2, 7:54 a.m.: Troy Officers were dispatched to assist employers while terminating an employee.
