Troy Police Respond to Breaking and Entries Calls
The following information about police incidents is taken directly from the most recent Troy Police Department media releases.

Breaking and entries
Modern Vending Service Co., 5455 Corporate Dr., Nov. 13-14, 7 a.m. to 7 a.m.: Complainant advised the vending machine located in the snack area of the building had been broken into. Complainant advised $23.95 in cash was missing.
Boston Café, 1450 W. Long Lake Rd., Nov. 13, 4:30–5 p.m.: Complainant reported he arrived at the Café and observed a hole in the drywall from the outside hallway to the kitchen area. Complainant advised nothing was missing.
Café Valentina, 1441 W. Long Lake Rd., Nov. 13-14, 2 p.m. to 5 a.m.: Complainant advised his Café was broken into. Complainant found pry marks on the rear door and $500 in cash was taken from the register.

Credit, check, identity theft, other fraud
Forever 21, 370 W. 14 Mile Rd., Nov. 12, 6:12 p.m.: Complainant advised her Chase Visa was used two times at the Oakland Mall. Once at Forever 21 in the amount of $180 and also at the Charlotte Russ store in the amount of $118. Complainant advised no one had permission to use her Visa.
100 block of Sheffield, Nov. 12, 1 p.m.: Resident reported he received a letter from Verizon regarding an overdue account. Resident stated he does not have a Verizon account.

Drugs/narcotics
1195 Rochester Rd., Nov. 15, 12:07 a.m.: Troy officers stopped a vehicle for speeding. Officers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the driver. The driver admitted he had a “joint” in the trunk of his car. The driver, a 22-year-old from Shelby Township was cited for possession of marijuana.
Larcenies
Troy Athens High School, 4333 John R Rd., Nov. 14, 3:30–4:30 p.m.: Complainant reported he placed his iPhone in the gymnasium while he coached basketball. When he returned his iPhone 5 was missing.
Troy Public Library, 510 W. Big Beaver Rd., Nov. 14, 4:45–5:10 p.m.: Complainant advised she placed her wallet down while she checked out library books. When she looked down to get the wallet it was missing. The wallet contained $350 in cash, identification and credit cards.
Larcenies from autos
TGI Friday’s, 591 W. Big Beaver Rd., Nov. 13, 7-9:30 p.m.: Complainant advised her car was parked in the lot. When she returned she discovered the driver’s side middle window was smashed and the in-dash GPS system was stolen.
Ruth’s Chris, 755 W. Big Beaver Rd., Nov. 14, 7–9:15 p.m.: Complainant advised her vehicle was parked in the lot. When she returned she discovered the passenger side rear window was smashed and the dash stereo unit was stolen.
Krispy Kreme, 208 W. 14 Mile Rd., Nov. 14, 11:17 a.m.: Complainant advised her 2013 Chrysler was parked in the lot. When she returned she discovered the GPS dash unit had been stolen.
Retail fraud
There were two reported retail frauds during the time period covered by this report. The charges were misdemeanors. All merchandise was recovered.
