Trucker Found Dead on Dixie Highway After Employer Couldn't Reach Him
Police say the trucking company hadn't been able to reach a driver and used GPS to locate the truck parked on Dixie Highway.

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — A tractor-trailer driver died while on the job, according to police reports.
An employee from a metro-area trucking company hadn't been able to reach a driver for several hours and used the tractor-trailer's GPS to locate the truck parked on Dixie Highway, north of Big Lake Rd.
Oakland County Sheriff's Office Deputies and the Springfield Township Fire Department responded to the area on Dec. 13 at 7:02 a.m. and found the 63-year-old Belleville man dead in the tractor-trailer.

The victim was transported to McLaren Hospital – Oakland where a physician pronounced him dead. The man's family was notified.
Deputies report that there were no signs of foul play and the victim had a history of high blood pressure. An autopsy has been scheduled and the incident remains under investigation.
