Where Can I Buy Fireworks in Troy?
Michigan law allows consumers to shoot off fireworks the day before, day of and day after the 4th of July.

The Troy City Council moved to amend its fireworks ordinance in anticipation of the July 4th holiday this week, but you can still purchase fireworks locally for your personal use.Â
A data base on the State of Michigan website shows fireworks for sale at these locations in Troy:
- 2967 E. Big Beaver Rd.
- 5075 Rochester Rd.
- 6990 John R Rd.
National holidays are: New Year’s Eve, Martin Luther King Day, Washington’s Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
State legislation recently signed into law also prohibits use of consumer fireworks on public property and while under the influence of alcohol and/or a controlled substance.
Outdoor displays must comply with National Fire Protection Association standards according to NFPA 1123: Code for Fireworks Display, which can be found at nfpa.org. But as a general reference, if you can't buy it in Michigan, you probably can't use it in Michigan.
