Arrest Made in West Bloomfield Father of Seven's Murder
Detroit Police initially had no leads in the case before another alleged murder Jan. 3.

An arrest has been made in the murder of West Bloomfield father of seven Samir Hannawa, WDIV-TV reports.
William M. Heard, 39, of Detroit, was charged with homicide felony murder in connection with Hannawa's murder. Police say Heard shot, killed and carjacked cab driver Tyrone Hitchcock, 48, of Detroit on Jan 3rd.
Police initially had no leads in the case and Crime Stoppers of Michigan offered a $2,500 reward for anonymous tips leading to the arrest of those responsible for his death.Â
Hannawa died in a seemingly-random attack at Great Lakes Collision Shop at Wyoming near Grand River in Detroit Nov. 7. According to witnesses who called 911, two suspects fled in a car before Hannawa was transported to Sinai Grace Hospital in Detroit, but doctors were unable to save him.

Hannawa, a native of Telkaif, Iraq, came to the United States in 2000. He was a manager at a store in Detroit, said family members, who described him as well liked and "an all-around good guy."
Heard could get life in prison for both murders.
