The hotly-contested annual Army-Navy football game is coming up on Dec. 13 from Baltimore. It will be the 126th all-time meeting of these historic programs. Navy will be the home team and the Army Black Knights will wear special uniforms to honor their 250th birthday.

No matter which team you cheer for, you can be part of the competition.

The Michigan alumni chapters for both West Point and the Naval Academy are having a competition to see who can raise the most money for the MI Freedom Center at Detroit Metro Airport -- Army or Navy supporters. The MI Freedom Center is a military hospitality lounge, one in each terminal, with a mission to serve those who first served us, with care, comfort and courtesy during their travels.

The public is invited to be part of the football action and support their favorite service branch by using this link to make your donation, in any amount, via a safe account at West Point:

Currently Army is crushing Navy in donations, so the Navy fans need to come from behind. Regardless of the football game’s outcome, the MI Freedom Center will be the winner with everyone's support. Our services of Care, Comfort and Courtesy are on full display 365 days a year thanks to our more than 150 volunteer hosts who 'staff' the Centers at the Evans and McNamara terminals. The Center’s staff and volunteers commit to this mission for the traveling comfort of all military and veterans alike, including National Guard and NATO Forces.

In February, the MI Freedom Center crossed over the One Million milestone of guests served, and recently celebrated the 14th birthday in November. Please help serve the Next Million by getting in on the football action today. More information on the mission: www.mifreedomcenter.org.
