Frankel Jewish Academy Alum Works for Rock Ventures
Vadim Avshalumov was in the West Bloomfield school's first graduating class.
Vadim Avshalumov went from Frankel Jewish Academy in West Bloomfield, to a masters in urban planning from the University of Michigan, and a job with Rock Ventures, an umbrella company owned by Detroit investor Dan Gilbert.Â
The 2003 alum is profiled in "On the Spot", a video the school posted to the YouTube.com social media site. Avshalumov was among the first class of graduates from the school, known then as Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit.Â
He said "the ability to think originally and make decisions for yourself" was one the lessons he learned at the Academy.Â
