Mom's Purse Stolen from Daycare Parking Lot in West Bloomfield

Vehicles on Eastbrook and West Pond Circle were also attacked over the past week.

A woman who left her purse in the car while she picked up her child from Kindercare on Middlebelt in West Bloomfield Oct. 11 returned to find it missing. 

According to West Bloomfield Township Police Lieutenant Tim Diamond, the theft occurred at around 4 p.m., and the vehicle had been left unlocked. 

Items were also taken from vehicles parked in front of homes in the 4000 block of West Pond Circle and the 6000 block of Eastbrook some time in the early morning hours Oct. 12. Diamond said vehicle owners reported locking the vehicles; there were no signs of forced entry.

The owner of the vehicle on Eastbrook parked it at around 2 a.m. and returned at 9 a.m. to find his briefcase, wallet, checkbook, gold wedding ring, Apple laptop, $2,500 in cash, an iPod, Garmin GPS, portable DVD player and video camera tripod missing, Diamond said.

The owners of two vehicles on West Pond Circle told police that a flashlight and auto accessories were taken from one vehicle, and a stereo system and driver and passenger headrests were taken from the other.
