West Bloomfield Theater Hosts Funny Girl, Fancy Nancy and More

The Berman Center for the Performing Arts in West Bloomfield will host these special events in September and October: 

Funny Girl – Sept. 16, 7:30 p.m.
This romantic film is loosely based on the life and career of Broadway and film star and comedienne Fanny Brice (Barbara Streisand) and her stormy relationship with entrepreneur and gambler Nicky Arnstein (Omar Sharif). 
 
Cinderella with Princess Tea Time! – Sept. 29, 1 p.m.
Put on your best dress, your prettiest jewels and loveliest tiaras to enjoy a spot of tea and some delicious cookies, followed by a screening of "Cinderella". 
 
A Dancer’s Dream – Oct. 2, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
This SpectiCast event features the complete production, behind the scenes footage and a brief intermission feature on Stravinsky’s history with the New York Philharmonic, with video and never before-seen material from the New York Philharmonic Digital Archives.
 
My Fair Lady – Oct. 14, 7:30 p.m.
Adapted from George Bernard Shaw's "Pygmalion", this musical shares the story of cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle (Audrey Hepburn) and linguistic expert Henry Higgins (Rex Harrison).

Jesse Palter CD release and concert – Oct. 19, 8 p.m.
Dynamic composer and vocalist Palter wants to take jazz in a new direction. She started singing publicly at age five and learning piano at six.
 
Fancy Nancy LIVE – Oct. 20, 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. 
The Vital Theatre Company’s national tour has announced its newest hit "Fancy Nancy The Musical", based on the bestselling children's book series by Jane O'Connor and illustrated by Robin Preiss Glasser.
 
Great Expectations – Oct. 23, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
This SpectiCast broadcast features the Dickens classic staged in London’s West End. Viewers will share the historic opening night experience.
