1 Arrested In Oakland County Shooting That Left Man Dead: Police

Police do not believe the shooting was a random act.

WATERFORD, MI β€” A man was arrested in connection with a Waterford Township shooting that left a man dead Thursday night, according to police.

Officers found a 28-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound in the upper chest at 11:30 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of the MJR Theater at 7501 Highland Road, according to police.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he died, according to police.

Investigators quickly identified the shooter and arrested a 24-year-old man at a West Bloomfield Township home overnight, according to police.

He was placed in the Oakland County Jail as charges were pending, according to police.
