1 Teen Dead, Another Hurt In Oakland County Shooting: Police

Officers arrested one teen and one adult in connection with the shooting, police said.

WHITE LAKE TOWNSHIP, MI β€” One teen is dead and another was injured in a Tuesday morning shooting in White Lake Township, according to police.

Police said the two 17-year-old teens were part of a group of seven people who entered the garage of a home they did not own.

When the homeowner confronted the group, police said they all ran away.

The homeowner then fired shots at the group as they were running away, striking the two teens, killing one, police said.

The other teen was taken to a nearby hospital where their status was unknown, police said.

Officers arrested one teen and one adult in connection with the shooting, police said.

Police said the teen was released while the adult was still in custody.

Police do not know why the teens targeted the detached garage.
