Local Resident Makes Survival Bracelets for Lakeland

Laura Lonergan of White Lake will be selling her survival bracelets at Fisk Farm this weekend to raise money for the Lakeland class of 2015's senior all-night party.

To help raise money for Lakeland students, Laura Lonergan started a survival bracelet business. The goal? To donate the funds raised from the bracelets to the class of 2015's senior all-night party.

So, what is a survival bracelet?

According to the LHS Survival Bracelets' website, it's a ο»Ώbracelet that is crafted from 3/32 Tactical Cord, which is smaller than the 550 Paracord traditionally used, so the bracelet's overall size is smaller.

Lonergan said they are waterproof and can be cleaned with basic soap and water (bleach can be used on white without affecting other colors).

"All bracelets (except for the braided style)Β are made with a flat,Β black,Β side release buckle, which makes them reversible," the website states. "The braided style has a hoop/knot closure. All bracelets are custom made-to-order for your wrist size."
