Popular Metro Detroit Polish Restaurant Closing After Nearly 40 Years (patch.com) — Longtime Wyandotte favorite Polonus Restaurant on Biddle Avenue will close permanently on Dec. 31 as its co-owners, including 76-year-old Andrzej Mucha, retire after nearly four decades. Known for homemade Polish dishes like pierogi, stuffed cabbage, and city chicken, the restaurant reflects changing demographics in the area and will maintain regular hours through the end of the year.

Wyandotte Clerk Stec resigns after winning re-election to 4-year term (thenewsherald.com) — Wyandotte’s longtime City Clerk Larry Stec will step down Dec. 31, just months after winning a new four-year term, creating a key vacancy at City Hall. Mayor Robert DeSana is interviewing 13 applicants and will recommend one to City Council, with the appointee serving until the May 2029 election and overseeing records, elections, and licensing that affect residents daily.
   

3. Sebastian Bach Announces 2026 North American Tour (rttnews.com) — Sebastian Bach is bringing his 2026 “The Party Never Ends” tour to Wyandotte on March 15, with a show at District 142. The former Skid Row frontman will perform solo material and classic hits, with support from Stitched Up Heart on most dates. Tickets are already on sale for fans planning ahead.
