Washington Elementary Students Were Truckin' in Wyandotte
Washington Elementary's Touch A Truck event put students in the driver's seat.
Washington Elementary students took the phrase "keep on truckin'" literally on May 18 during the school's Touch A Truck event.
From 9 to 11 a.m. students and their families were given the opportunity to get behind the wheel of some of the biggest and most important trucks in Wyandotte.
Students checked out garbage trucks, construction equipment and school and city vehicles. There was also a trolly ride.
"The kids loved getting in the driver’s seat and learning about what they do, how they work and the people who run them," said Kristin McMaster, principal at Washington.
