2 Pope County Deputies, 1 Starbuck Police Officer Shot In Cyrus During Arrest

CYRUS, Minn. -- The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating after two deputies and a police officer were shot Saturday evening in Pope County.

Per the Pope County Sheriff's Office, two of its deputies were shot in Cyrus, along with a Starbuck police officer. One of the deputies was hospitalized with critical injuries and later died. The other deputy was treated and released, and the Starbucks officer was injured but not hospitalized.

The sheriff's office said authorities were dispatched to a residential address on a domestic call around 7:30 p.m.
