3 Dead In Head-On Crash In Northern MN; 2 From Twin Cities Metro
Two men killed were from the Twin Cities metro area. All six involved in the crash were in their 20s.

KOOCHICHING COUNTY, MN — Three men in their 20s are dead and three others were seriously injured in a head-on crash in northern Minnesota Sunday morning.
Two of the men killed were from the Twin Cities metro area.
The collision happened just after 11 a.m. on Sunday in Koochiching County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a red Chevy Silverado was traveling west on Highway 1 in Northome while a blue Ford F-150 was traveling east on Highway 1 when they collided head-on.
The Silverado ended up in the eastbound lane while the F-150 went into the nearby ditch.

The driver of the Silverado, identified as 24-year-old Riley Walter Scheidecker, of Bloomer, Wisconsin, died at the scene.
Two other men in the Silverado suffered life-threatening injuries, while a third suffered non-life-threatening injuries. They were taken to Bemedji Hospital.
Both men in the F-150 died. They were identified as Joseph Michael Carlson, 27, of North Branch, and John Clifford Corazzo, 27, of Shoreview.
