8-Year-Old Girl Killed In Head-On Crash In Rochester
An 8-year-old girl was killed and three others were seriously injured in a head-on collision in Rochester last week.
ROCHESTER, MN — An 8-year-old girl was killed and three others were seriously injured in a head-on collision in Rochester last week.
The crash occurred just after 6 p.m. on Wednesday on Highway 14 near Mile Marker 217.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a GMC Yukon heading west and a Nissan Murano traveling east collided amidst snowy and icy road conditions.

An 8-year-old girl riding in the Yukon was fatally injured in the crash.
The Yukon's driver, identified as 43-year-old Colleen Jennifer Ronningen of Rochester, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at St. Marys Mayo Clinic. A 12-year-old girl who was also in the Yukon suffered non-life-threatening injuries and received care at the same hospital.

The driver of the Nissan Murano, 36-year-old Kevin Douangmychit of Rochester, was the vehicle’s sole occupant. He also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at St. Marys Mayo Clinic.
