The Ramsey County Attorney's Office says Jesse Willis Gleeson, 32, was arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the death of the 33-year-old Deondrae Atkins, which happened early Sunday morning in downtown St. Paul.

The criminal complaint says Atkins was found on the ground and unresponsive by officers on the 200 block of West Ninth Street, near the Dorothy Day Center, just after 2 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers found "a large sum of money" in Atkins' pants pockets. A cellphone and a bullet were also nearby.
