Drunk MN Driver Causes Head-On Crash Killing Texas Woman: Police
Alcohol was a factor in a fatal crash Thursday evening on Highway 75 in Clay County, Minnesota, authorities said.

OAKPORT TWP, MN — Alcohol was a factor in a fatal crash Thursday evening on Highway 75 in Clay County, which resulted in the death of a Texas woman, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Christopher Thomas Pink, 28, of Moorhead, was booked into jail on suspicion of criminal vehicular operation resulting in homicide.
Pink was driving a 2007 Toyota Tundra northbound in the southbound lane when he collided head-on with a 2022 Jeep Compass driven by 43-year-old Jennifer Elizabeth Watson of Ennis, Texas.

Watson was killed in the crash, while Pink, who had alcohol in his system, was uninjured, authorities said.
The crash occurred at about 6:58 p.m. near mile marker 254 in Oakport Township, where dry road conditions were reported. Pink's airbag deployed, but it is unclear whether he was wearing a seatbelt.

Watson’s airbag also deployed, and she was confirmed to be wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Local agencies, including Clay County authorities, Moorhead Police Department, and Dilworth Fire, responded to the scene.
